About Point Lookout, NY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

With only about 1,200 residents, Point Lookout is a small hamlet located in Nassau County, New York. It is situated within the town of Hempstead along the east end of Long Beach Barrier Island. The island is found between the Atlantic Ocean and Reynolds Channel, and it includes a variety of dunes, bays, marshes, ponds, and ocean shoreline. Several New York Jets players have had homes in Point Lookout, and labor leader Sidney Hillman lived in the community during his later years.

As a small community, Point Lookout isn’t home to many major attractions, but there are a few prominent businesses located here. There are several great restaurants to choose from, including the Salt Air Café, J.A. Heneghans, and The Point Ale House & Grill. Specialty shops in the community include Hoolahan Monica, Gelo’s Point Pharmacy, and Ribbonesque, and many residents enjoy booking a massage at Lavender on the Channel.

Point Lookout residents typically invest in both home heating and cooling systems, both of which are used at different times of the year. Unfortunately, this can result in some expensive utility bills if you have a system that isn’t updated or working efficiently. Summer weather is cooler than the rest of the state, but high temperatures do push into the area at times. For this reason, it is crucial that you care for your climate controls to ensure they are working properly when they are needed.

The best way to prepare for potential severe weather is to have your HVAC systems serviced regularly. An experienced HVAC technician will inspect your heating and cooling system to tune it up. These regular inspections can lead to lower cooling and heating costs, which will eventually save you money. Not only that, but seasonal evaluations can also detect minor issues so that they can be repaired before they become major – and expensive – problems.
