About Lido Beach, NY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
The tiny barrier island community of Lido Beach is located just off the South Shore of Long Island in Nassau County, New York. Presently home to a population of approximately 2,800, Lido Beach is perfect for beach loving residents who enjoy living near the water and can appreciate the variety of the diverse seasonal climate that graces the coastal region with four distinctly different seasons each year.
Ideally situated within the county, Lido Beach is a short twenty-minute drive from Kennedy International Airport, and less than an hour from Midtown Manhattan and most major shopping districts of the city. The island is bisected by Lido Boulevard, which runs the length of the community and is the dividing line between homes bordering the Atlantic to the south and those bordering Reynolds Channel to the north.
Lido Beach is served by the Long Beach Unified School District. The community is also home to the Lido Beach National Wildlife Refuge, a 22-acre expanse of salt marsh and tidal wetlands that hosts the district’s environmental education program. The refuge is home to a diverse assortment of shorebirds, wading birds, and wintering waterfowl that include black-crowned night heron, clapper rails, osprey, American black duck, Atlantic brant, and saltmarsh sharp-tailed sparrow.
For the best of coastal living with a touch of suburbia, Lido Beach is the place to be!
