About Levittown, NY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Formerly known as Island Trees, Levittown, New York is a hamlet located in Nassau County on Long Island. The community is located midway between Farmingdale and Hempstead. As of 2010, approximately 52,000 people called the community home, which makes it the largest census-designated place in the county by population. It is the second largest CDP on Long Island by population, trailing only Brentwood. Levittown is served by two school districts – the Levittown Union Free School District and Island Trees Union Free School District – and in terms of public transportation, Levittown receives service from the Nassau Inter-County Express bus system.

There are several things to see and do when you spend some time in Levittown. The Aurora Foot Spa or Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa are great places to stop and get some pampering, especially before a night out at Governor’s Comedy Cabaret. Shopping is popular in Levittown, and while there are major retailers here like Target and Kohl’s, specialty shops are also available, including Tri County Unique Bazaar, The Cigar Hut, and Milano and Son Jewelry. Popular Levittown restaurants include Riella’s Homestyle, Escorza’s Mexican Restaurant, and Miller’s Ale House.

The weather in Levittown will vary dramatically from season to season. During the winter months, residents will get heavy use out of their home heating systems. Temperatures often fall below the freezing point, and average snowfall on Long Island is about 25 inches per season. However, cold or even freezing rain are also possibilities, and in order to stay comfortable indoors, an energy efficient furnace is a necessity.

Climate controls are also important during the summer months, although conditions tend to be a little calmer. Long Island is influenced by Atlantic Ocean sea breezes, so temperatures stay in the low-80s, on average. Levittown HVAC professionals recommend that homeowners invest in central air conditioning systems to stay comfortable and invest in periodic maintenance to ensure they are running at optimal efficiency.
