About Inwood, NY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Inwood is a census-designated place and hamlet in Nassau County, New York, and it is home to approximately 10,000 residents. This community is included within the “Five Towns,” which is an informal group of hamlets and villages on the South Shore of Long Island. Students in Inwood are served by Lawrence Public Schools, which also provides an education for kids living in Atlantic Beach, Cedarhurst, and Lawrence. There is also a Yeshiva located in the community – Yeshiva Ketana of Long Island. The Inwood Station on the Far Rockaway Branch of the Long Island Rail Road provides service to Jamaica Station, including connections to Atlantic Terminal and Pennsylvania Station.
Not to be confused with the Manhattan neighborhood also called Inwood, this hamlet is not home to many major attractions. However, there are several great restaurants located here, including Giardinetto Ristorante Italiano, and Good Eats Grill. New Proud Nails is a local nail salon found in the area, and visitors looking for some pampering might also enjoy a trip to NuZen Spa in Oceanside or Cheveux Day Spa and Salon in nearby Woodmere.
If you live in Inwood – or if you are planning to relocate to or visit the community in the future – you should have an idea what to expect in terms of the weather. The summer months are warm to hot, with average high temperatures in the low 80s.On the other hand, the winter months are cold with variable precipitation – some seasons are very snowy, while the next year might experience more rain. In order to keep your family safe regardless of the weather, it is crucial that you invest in both a central air conditioning and furnace system. Energy efficient models can also greatly improve the energy consumption of your home, which will save you money on your monthly utility costs.
