About Freeport, NY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Freeport, New York is a village located in Nassau County along the South Shore of Long Island. As of 2010, nearly 43,000 residents called this community home, and it is surrounded by Baldwin, Roosevelt, and Merrick. The first settlement of Freeport emerged in the 1640s, and historically, it served as an oystering community and a popular resort town for the theater community of New York City. Today, it is mainly a bedroom suburb with several schools, including Freeport High School.

There are a variety of great things to see and do in Freeport. Visitors who want to spend a day out on the water might like to book a tour with Captain Lou’s Fleet, Miss Freeport V Private Charters, or the Freeport Water Taxi & Tours.  There are several interesting specialty shops in the area, including Silver by the Sea, and the Freeport Farmers Market offers a variety of fresh produce. Other popular attractions located in Freeport include Crow’s Nest Mini Golf and the Long Island Vineyard Tours.

Due to its location near the Atlantic Ocean, the weather in Freeport tends to be mild compared to the rest of New York. Summers are warm and humid, with average daily highs reaching the low-80s during July and August. Most residents invest in reliable central air conditioning units at home in order to stay cool during the hottest point of the year.

The spring and fall months in Freeport tend to be mild and quite comfortable, but the winter months are cold. Snowfall to the area is variable, with one season seeing several feet of accumulation and the next receiving mostly rain. However, temperatures are cold, so residents need to have an energy efficient furnace in place. HVAC professionals recommend that homeowners use the warmer autumn months to service these appliances, as this will ensure they work properly when needed.
